The technique used for producing 360 degree panoramic
views
For cylindrical panoramic views a series of 8 to 36 single photographs
is taken from one point while carrying out a 360 degree rotation.
They are subsequently mounted by means of specific software and
relevant follow-up picture processing to form a panorama. The resulting
picture is high-resolution and may be used as the starting material
for including panoramic pictures in various media.
When producing cubic panoramas, pictures are taken with the so-called
multi-row technique. The panorama is then put together from 14 to
50 single takes depending on the focus of the lens.
