Cylindrical
Cylindrical panoramas were for a long time the only option for
immersed views. In this case though, the vertical angle of view
is limited.
To produce a panorama between 8 and 36 pictures are taken by means
of screen definition using a tripod with a special pan-and-tilt
head. These pictures are mounted in an overlapping manner (stitching)
resulting in a cylindrical reproduction of space.
